First and foremost, I will be honest on this page. I will tell you the herbs, probiotics, food, teas, exercises and vitamins I have tried to get a handle on my ever changing problems with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. As I mention in the About me page, I was diagnosed with IBS in 2001. I didn’t know what I could or couldn’t eat so I had to just eat what I normally did and slowly begin to eliminate my ‘trigger’ foods. While I did get a handle on it for a few years, work and stress began to take its toll on me and my poor stomach. The roller coaster continued until this year when my IBS got soo bad I could barely eat anything.
Bloating, gas, constipation, the runs, everyone has had this at one point or another so why don’t we talk about it? No its not an ice-breaker to be used on a first date but you shouldn’t be ashamed. Many people unfortunately have IBS, Diverticulitis, Crohns Disease, or some other digestive issue but many don’t know because people just don’t talk about it.
